Puresol can be used in water softening and pH correction in drinking water to replace other lime slurries, magnesium oxide slurries and caustic.

When Puresol replaces caustic on an equivalent neutralisation basis the water company will save around 30% of the cost of the caustic.

For larger operations customers can convert a hydrate slurry systems to oxide and LimeCure 50 reducing costs and removing scaling problems. As this requires the additive and oxide to purchased separately this is covered by BS EN standards and customers can convert without DWI Reg 31 approval.
